Turkey's presidency vote annulled

The court ruled there was not a quorum for the voteThe constitutional court in Turkey has annulled last Friday's parliamentary vote to elect a new president.

The only candidate, Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, failed to win the required majority after a boycott by secularist opposition parties.
The parties, which accuse Mr Gul of a hidden Islamist agenda, asked the court to rule that there was no quorum.
The government vowed to restart the election process on Wednesday but it was unclear what form that would take.
Government spokesman Cemil Cicek said the ruling AK party would propose its candidate again.
But another ruling party lawmaker, Sadullah Ergin, said only a timetable for a new vote would be set.

Army concern

The constitutional court backed the opposition's argument that a quorum of two-thirds of the 550 lawmakers was not present for Friday's vote. Its ruling cannot be appealed.
A total of 361 lawmakers voted - 357 for Mr Gul - but 367 were needed to make a quorum.

After the ruling, Mr Cicek said the government would be prepared to meet an opposition call for an early general election provided parliament agreed to lower the age limit for MPs to 25.
AK believes this will boost its electoral chances.
Mr Gul and Mr Erdogan are both from AK, which has Islamist roots and an overwhelming majority in parliament. They deny there is any hidden agenda.
But the BBC's Sarah Rainsford in Istanbul says the army had made it clear it would not tolerate Mr Gul as president.
It warned it would defend the separation of state and religion, the legacy of the state's founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
Our correspondent says the court is officially independent but had been under immense pressure to reach precisely this verdict. It is one that is likely to divide Turkey further, she says.
On Sunday, hundreds of thousands of people rallied in Istanbul in support of secularism.
Mr Erdogan appealed for national unity in a televised address to the nation on Monday.

Ordinary Day

Just tryin to get by…”

Another foggy day in Milan, just like it was yesterday, and the day before… It’s hard to see fifty meters ahead; as everything is just white, a foggy white!

Did you ever try to see what’s behind the fog there? Did you ever forced yourselves in order to catch what was there further, where u couldn’t manage to see? I’m sure you did it at least once in ur lives! So you know that it’s only about imagination. It’s just about capturing a piece of the picture and imagining the rest of it to have a complete image… Isn’t that what we usually do in our lives? Well, we don’t always do it consciously!… the only thing that’s clear in the picture is that we’re sure of seeing is us in it! Then the rest is what we design, what we imagine, what we draw on the picture. We choose the colours, we choose the place, we choose the people to be there with us, and all the rest of the figures to be in our frame. Or better, we decide what to keep in the picture and what not… and probably that’s how we shape our lives and its each single moment!

Today… I feel good, I have a good sensation running through all my veins! Something’s changed in these days… Maybe it’s me! I still have some question marks about my life, about what I want to do in my life… But at least, I know better what makes me happy, what will make me feel good, and perhaps the most important is that I know what I do NOT want! It’s still a whole complicity anyway. One day I’m gonna come up with the right answer I’ve been searching for so long. One day… Nevertheless, I managed to make a big step towards that answer in these days, thanks to a very special friend! A special friend that I somehow chose a few years ago to be in my picture… However then, at that time, I would never ever be able to imagine that this friend to whom I gave the possibility of being in my frame would one day help me to draw the rest of the picture! Thanks honey!!! Thanks for remaining in my picture… :)

My MC team...

.Il tempo vola... Si! Non riesco ancora a credere che sono già passati più di 11 mesi da quando ho iniziato il mio anno da MC... Ovvero... Sono rimasti solo 12 giorni per la fine del nostro mandato... Un anno pieno di emozioni, pieno di gioia, con dei momenti difficili da passare, con dei momenti stancanti...

L'avventura inizia al CN1 di Catania, a Dicembre 2004, con l'elezione di 3 membri del team...
Cisco... Peccato che non lo conoscevo quasi per niente prima che iniziassimo il processo elettivo insieme.
Fede... La prima persona che ho conosciuto in @Italia, mio ex team mate da Genova. Sarà il mio P di nuovo
Io... :) Continua la sua storia, che era nata solo con l'idea di fare un anno all'estero, rimanendo in Italia per un terzo anno

Marzo 2005... Le nomine...
Ci raggiunge una persona che abbiamo voluto tutti che venisse nominata ma che in realtà non la conosce nessuno di persona...
Chikezie... ovvero, misterchike :)

Si arriva nel mese di Maggio... CN2 di Roma
Durante il pre-meeting del congresso, viene nominata come IST-Co Luigigi... Un vero amico! Sono proprio contenta che faremo parte dello stesso gruppo!
Nello stesso congresso, il team continua ad allargarsi!!!
Ci raggiungono,
Simo... E' difficile commentare su di lei... Perchè bisogna conoscerla molto bene prima di dire qualsiasi cosa...
Ferro... Un amico che ho avuto il modo di conoscerlo più che nella plenaria, ai congressi internazionali che abbiamo fatto insieme...

Sono felice!!! Ci siamo quasi... Dobbiamo ancora aspettare il resto del team che ci dovrà raggiungere dopo il CN... ma in tanto, andiamo a bere sulla spiaggia di Tarquinia:) Ovviamente bevendo anche al posto di chi non poteva esserci, cioè Chike...

Hmmm... Non è finito qui... Subito dopo CN2, ci raggiungono 2 pazzi... Gegè & Rubens! :)

Pian piano si avvicina il momento di spostarsi a Milano...

I primi passi verso un anno che ci aspetta...

Assieme le persone, arrivano anche le valigie in Via Andora, le valigie pieno di sogni e ambizioni...

Un anno insieme... in una casa... condiviso tutti i momenti... condiviso i sogni che avevamo portato dietro... Ci siamo divertiti... Abbiamo condiviso i momenti difficili...
Ma... Dopo tutto ciò... L'anno sta per finire!!! Mi viene solo la tristezza quando ci penso...
Niente sarà lo stesso senza di loro...

Sono contenta di aver fatto questo anno con voi!!!
